The popular Desmond Bagley facebook page has been off-line for some weeks now while we were re-evaluating its purpose. Those who have so far come to view it, Liked posts or made their own comments, are greatly appreciated. Their interest in the author is what makes keeping it going worthwhile in this whirlwind of 21st century Social Media.
News is never going to be coming thick and fast for our long-gone world-famous author but the mark he made on the action adventure and thriller genres must be kept foremost lest it be swamped by the modern deluge of self-published novels and thin, piggy-back associations of lesser authors on famous works. Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery but right now there seems a surfeit.
